COURTYARD & PRIVATE BAY BEACH
The Courtyard is equipped with barbecues for guest use, outdoor hot and cold showers, beach chairs, umbrellas, bicycles, fun trikes, and wagons. The Private Bay Beach is equipped with barbecues for guest use, lounge chairs, beach towels, and drink attendant. The Palms Hotel caters to families with various special events such as movies on our courtyard with complimentary popcorn and various crafts and activities on Palms Bay Beach during the season.
HOW TO GET HERE:
The Palms Hotel is located in the heart of Ocean Beach, Fire Island. To travel to Fire Island, you must drive to the Bay Shore Ferry Terminal on Maple Avenue in Bay Shore, and take a 30 minute ferry ride to Ocean Beach. Your reservation is absolutely secure. All personal data is encrypted and will be processed in a secure way. Palms Hotel takes the privacy of your personal data very seriously. All data collected is used internally and will never be disseminated. Your personal information will only be used to process your reservation. Guests are prohibited from exceeding maximum capacity. Maximum occupancy is not the number of beds. Suites and rooms may include pull out couches for sleeping. The Palms Hotel does not permit the used of roll away beds, cots, or blow up mattresses of any kind. Prior to making a reservation please inquire with a reservationist for the specific room description.
PLEASE NOTE WHILE OTHER COMMUNITIES OFFER A MORE QUIET AND PEACEFUL ATMOSPHERE, OCEAN BEACH IS A LOUD, LIVELY, ACTIVE COMMUNITY.
The Palms Hotel will issue a Palms Credit to be used toward a future midweek *Sunday-Thursday* stay if the reservation is cancelled within 7 days of arrival. These credits may only be used during the months of May, June or September. It is the policy of The Palms Hotel to issue a Palms Credit. Refunds will not be issued under any circumstances. This credit will be valid for exactly one year from the reservations original date.
Reservation is guaranteed upon booking once all proper information has been added and a one night deposit plus tax is applied.
The Palms has a no pet policy
Emotional Support Dogs:
Emotional Support Dogs will only be allowed after meeting the following specifications:
- A signed form from a medical or mental health professional
- A veterinary health form showing dog is healthy
- A form confirming that the dog is fully trained and can behave properly while on hotel property
Please also be advised the dog can never be left alone in the hotel room or on hotel property at anytime. If the guest leaves for shopping, dinner, etc, the dog must be taken with them.
**Pre approval must be obtained through email from the hotel only. Verbal approvals will not be recognized. All approvals must be completed in advance of your stay. No approvals will be granted day of stay. Hotel reserves the right to refuse a dog at anytime.
***Please note The Village of Ocean Beach law 76-1 requires dogs be leashed at all times and prohibits dogs on the beach.
RATES:ALL ROOM RATES ARE PER NIGHT.
One (1) night deposit is required at time of reservation. All room rates exclude 11.625% sales and occupancy tax. There is a 4% service fee on all credit card transactions. Misc: All rooms are NON-SMOKING per Suffolk County and the Ocean Beach fire commissioner. Minimum age to rent a room is 25 years old. ID is required. There is a two (2) night minimum stay on all weekends and a three (3) night minimum stay on holidays. Due to feedback from our guests, pets are no longer permitted.
The Palms Hotel is proud to announce it’s exclusive affiliation with The Morgan Center (opens in a new window) as our sole 501(3)(c) Not For Profit charitable organization.

We are unable to support any other charitable events or organizations as our understanding and passion to be affiliated with the Zuck Family remains strong and viable.
